Webb rules out fourth spell
David Webb has ruled out taking charge of Southend for a fourth time.

Former boss Webb is currently caretaker manager at Roots Hall following the sacking of Steve Wignall.

Webb will take charge for the match at Swansea, and possibly for the FA Cup tie with Canvey.

He told BBC Radio Essex: "I said I would help in any way I could, but I won't be taking the job full-time.

"It was rather sprung on me to take charge at Swansea but I'm happy to do that.

"I know they have plans to sort things out sooner rather than later so I'm just looking at keeping things going until then," he added.

Meanwhile, Wignall refused to make any comment on his from the club.

Wignall was sacked on monday after just six months at Roots Hall.

He told BBC Radio Essex: "I won't be making any statement until certain issues have been resolved but I'm very upset at having to leave."
