Southampton are celebrating a rush from supporters to buy season tickets for the new campaign.
Saints supporters have bought more than 9,700 season tickets in the two-and-a-half weeks since Markus Liebherr completed a takeover of the club.
Andy Oldknow, chief operating officer at Saints, said: "The latest figures represent a fantastic achievement by the club.
"To equal the number of season tickets sold last season is great," he added.
"But to then go on and beat that figure, and in such a short space of time, is simply amazing.
"It speaks volumes about the superb fan-base at the club, a point not lost on our new manager Alan Pardew, who has already gone on record to stress the huge role they will play over the course of the upcoming season."
