Thomas will help solve Saints' defensive crisis

Southampton have signed Burnley defender Wayne Thomas.
The Clarets say they have received £1.2m for his services, while Saints have reported the fee as £1m.
The 28-year-old joined Burnley from Stoke in 2005, and made over 50 appearances for the Clarets, after starting his career at Torquay.
Thomas is expected to go straight into Saints' team for Saturday's visit to Norwich to help plug a defence which has conceded six goals in two games.
