Southampton manager Harry Redknapp has set his side the target of winning their last three games to avoid relegation from the Premiership.
"It's very hard when every time you think you are going to start playing you give a goal away at the back," he said after the 4-1 loss at Portsmouth.
"We've got three games left and we need to win them but it's not impossible.
"I've got to try and lift them and get a bit of confidence into them again if I can. It's not easy."
