Southampton boss Steve Wigley is determined to ignore the criticism and prove his critics wrong after the club's poor start to the season.
"I have got to approach each game as it comes and not think about outside influences, which I can do nothing about," said after the loss at Fulham.
"There has been a lot of talk about things like the Pro Licence.
"What I have said all along is I will be judged on results. That is the job. You need to win games."
Wigley has yet to obtain his Uefa pro-coaching qualification - a compulsory
requirement to manage a side in the Premiership.
And he has only been given three
months' grace to complete the course - leading to speculation that
chairman Rupert Lowe will quickly appoint another manager if results do not improve.
Wigley took over after Paul Sturrock left the club but his only win so far came against Northampton in the Carling Cup.
"I did not come into it with my head in the clouds," added Wigley.
"I knew very much that I
would have to get results but I don't think it is at that stage at all - and I certainly won't be thinking down that route.
"It will be me that will be judged
at the end of the day and when I took the position I knew that would be the
case."
