Gylfi Sigurdsson would like to extend his loan at Shrewsbury Town after scoring on his debut on Saturday - if it can help his chances at Reading.
"I'm here for a month," the midfielder told BBC Radio Shropshire. "But, if you're playing week-in week-out in a winning team, you want to stay.
"I've not been involved as much as I'd like at Reading, coming on twice as a sub in the Carling Cup.
"If I do well at Shrewsbury perhaps I'll better my chances at Reading."
Iceland Under-21 midfielder Sigurdsson was voted Town's man of the match after scoring the first goal in Saturday's 4-1 home win over Bournemouth - a result that took Paul Simpson's men to third in League Two.
