Shrewsbury Town have signed striker Richard Walker from Bristol Rovers on a season-long loan.
The Shrews beat off competition from Gillingham and Notts County to sign the 30-year-old.
Walker, who scored 23 times in 2006/07, got two goals when Rovers beat Shrewsbury 3-1 in the 2007 League Two Play-off final.
"He's an out and out goalscorer and I'm delighted to get him," manager Paul Simpson told BBC Radio Shropshire.
Rovers made Walker available, even though he still had a year's contract to run, after he scored just four goals in their League One campaign last season.
Former Town manager Gary Peters was interested in bringing the ex-Aston Villa trainee to Shrewsbury last season but said he could not afford him.
