Palmer has paid ultimate cost

Carlton Palmer is among several applicants for the Shrewsbury manager's job vacated by Jimmy Quinn last week.
The League Two club have so far received between 10-15 applications following Quinn's resignation.
The former Stockport boss and England international said: "I have applied. Jimmy did a great job there but this is sometimes how things work out."
Chris Turner, Colin Lee, Bobby Gould, Danny Wilson, Mark Wright and Alan Buckley have been linked with the job.
