Boss Jimmy Quinn was full of praise for new striker John Grant after he helped Shrewsbury to their first win of the season against nine-man Northampton.
"It's three points and it's got us off and running and I'm delighted with that," said Quinn.
"That should now give us the confidence to go on and build. John scoring gives you food for thought. He's played one game and scored a goal.
"It was great to see John get one because he works really hard."
