Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws has turned down defender Richard Wood's transfer request.
Coventry boss Chris Coleman has made enquiries about the 23-year-old, and it has been reported that the Sky Blues are preparing to make an offer.
"Chris Coleman mentioned him and I said, 'forget it, he's not for sale', said Laws.
"I have told Richard there is absolutely no chance that his request will be granted."
He added: "I'm satisfied with the discussions that I've had with him, and he will still be part of our plans."
Wood is the longest serving player in the Owls squad having turned professional with the club in 2003 after coming through the Hillsborough youth system.
