Injured Owls duo go to Lilleshall

Francis Jeffers
Jeffers played just 12 times last season due to injury

Sheffield Wednesday's Frankie Simek and Francis Jeffers will be sent to the FA Medical Centre in Lilleshall to receive treatment on their ankle injuries.

Defender Simek, 23, and striker Jeffers, 27, will now miss the two-game Netherlands tour next week.

"That work is very controlled but is 9-5, which is what they need," manager Brian Laws told BBC Radio Sheffield.

"We think this will speed their recovery and hopefully when we return they will be ready for the next level."
