Sheffield Wednesday have announced that the club made a profit for the first time since 1995 in the annual accounts for the year ending 31 May 2007.
The Owls announced a profit of just under £1.5m, compared to a loss of £457,000 for the previous year.
They made an operating loss of £81,000, but enjoyed a profit of £2.4m on player trading, such as Majid Bougherra's £2.5m move to Charlton in January.
Turnover for the 12-month spell also rose by 5.33% to £12.232m.
Meanwhile, payroll costs rose by 11.12% to £6.297m.
