Sheffield Wednesday have completed the signing of Francis Jeffers from Blackburn for an undisclosed fee.
The 26-year-old former Everton, Arsenal and Charlton striker, whose proposed deal to join Ipswich fell through in July, has signed a three-year contract.
Owls boss Brian Laws, whose side face the Suffolk outfit on Saturday, said: "I believe he can be a regular scorer with us in the Championship.
"We've been looking for a top-quality striker and certainly have that now."
