Owls capture O'Brien in loan deal
Sheffield Wednesday have signed teenage Bolton midfielder Joey O'Brien on a month's loan.

The 18-year-old, who made his Bolton debut as a substitute in a Carling Cup tie this season, will be with the Owls for their New Year holiday games.

"We have watched him three times and his manager Sam Allardyce is confident he will do us a good job," Wednesday boss Paul Sturrock said.

"He's a box-to-box player, the type we need with Lewis McMahon being injured."
