Palmer back at Hillsborough
Carlton Palmer
Carlton Palmer's Coventry spell has been brief
Carlton Palmer has re-signed for Sheffield Wednesday on a three-month loan deal.

Palmer has failed to break into the side at Coventry and has agreed the switch to City's First Division rivals.

The mutch-travelled midfielder was on loan at Hillsborough at the end of last season.

The presence of the 35-year-old Palmer helped Wednesday fight off the threat of relegation last term.

He could make the move permanent on a free transfer if he impresses for a second time.

"He did very well for us at the end of last season, and we are delighted to bring him back here," said Owls manager Peter Shreeves.

"We were made aware he was available on loan and moved straightaway with no hesitation."
