Sheffield United striker Danny Webber hopes his form between now and the end of the season will help to earn him a new contract.
The 27-year-old says he is in no rush to agree a new deal.
"There's not really much for me to think about until the summertime," he told BBC Radio Sheffield.
"Contracts aren't being talked about until then. I just have to get on with my football and be in a position to negotiate."
Webber has been with the Blades since his £500,000 move from Watford in 2005, but has struggled with injuries over the last two seasons.
"From my point of view I have not put any feelers out and I am working hard for the team, hoping that we get promotion this season and that then puts everybody in a stronger position," added Webber.
