Webber happy to wait for new deal

Sheffield United striker Danny Webber hopes his form between now and the end of the season will help to earn him a new contract.

The 27-year-old says he is in no rush to agree a new deal.

"There's not really much for me to think about until the summertime," he told BBC Radio Sheffield.

"Contracts aren't being talked about until then. I just have to get on with my football and be in a position to negotiate."

Webber has been with the Blades since his 500,000 move from Watford in 2005, but has struggled with injuries over the last two seasons.

"From my point of view I have not put any feelers out and I am working hard for the team, hoping that we get promotion this season and that then puts everybody in a stronger position," added Webber.
