Hendrie offers reminder to Blades

Lee Hendrie had a loan spell at relegated Leicester last season

Forgotten man Lee Hendrie could have a future at Sheffield United after impressing in their 3-1 Carling Cup win over Port Vale on Wednesday.

The 31-year-old midfielder opened the scoring, in only his 10th start for the club since joining last summer.

Boss Kevin Blackwell told BBC Radio Sheffield: "That's the first time Lee has played for me but he gave me what I have been looking for.

"It is like we have got a new player in the squad."
