Sheffield United have sold midfielder Ahmed Fahti to Egyptian side Ahly for an undisclosed fee, reports BBC Radio Sheffield.
He signed for the Blades in January 2007 on a three-and-a-half year deal.
Although the figure has not been revealed it is believed the Blades will recoup the £700,000 they paid for him.
Fahti, 22, made his first-team debut at Liverpool earlier this year but failed to hold down a regular spot making just three senior appearances.
