Portsmouth striker Vincent Pericard has joined Sheffield United on loan for three months with the possibility of a permanent move to follow.
Pericard, who was at Juventus for two years before joining Pompey, has recently returned to action after a serious knee injury.
"He was always one of my top targets," said Blades boss Neil Warnock.
"I've seen him a few times last season. I think he's just what we're looking for," he told BBC Radio Sheffield.
