Sheffield United have signed Wolves striker Dean Sturridge on loan with a view to a permanent move.
Blades boss Neil Warnock moved for the 30-year-old as a replacement for Steve Kabba, out for three months with a broken leg.
"I think he will enjoy our way of playing," said Warnock.
"He has plenty of pace and is a goalscorer and we create chances, so I'm sure he will get plenty of opportunities in front of goal."
He added of the three-month deal: "I'm hopeful we might be able to do something permanent if things work out right."
The 30-year-old fell out of the reckoning at Wolves, making just five appearances in the Premiership this season.
The former Derby and Leicester forward scored 32 goals in 81 games for Wolves since his £350,000 move in December 2001.
