Scunthorpe United face new delay for Gordon debut

Gordon suffered a hamstring injury playing for Kilmarnock

Chelsea full-back Ben Gordon will not complete his loan move to Scunthorpe United until early next week, BBC Radio Humberside understands.

Gordon, 19, originally agreed to join the Iron at the beginning of January, but the move was delayed due to a hamstring injury.

He was expected to arrive at Glanford Park ahead of Saturday's Championship meeting with Preston North End.

Gordon spent the early part of this season on-loan at Kilmarnock.

Meanwhile, the Lincolnshire club have received planning permission to turn the standing terrace at Glanford Park into an all-seater section.
