Defender Andy Butler has turned down a new contract with Scunthorpe United, reports BBC Radio Humberside.
The 24-year-old has been with The Iron since he was a teenager after coming through the youth system at the club.
His decision to refuse a new deal has opened the door for a move with Huddersfield Town one if the clubs reportedly interested.
Butler played in 37 of United's games last season and is a former winner of The Iron's Young player of the year.
Scunthorpe manager Nigel Adkins told the BBC: "We offered what was reasonable. We shook Andrew's hand and wished him all the best knowing we'd done everything."
