Scunthorpe have signed New Zealand international full-back Dave Mulligan from Doncaster Rovers.
The 24-year-old is the club's second capture since the end of the season, with goalkeeper Joe Murphy having already arrived from Sunderland.
Mulligan, who has so far won eight international caps, has agreed a two-year contract.
"He is very versatile. There were a number of clubs trying to sign him," said manager Brian Laws.
"He is two-footed, has great delivery from set pieces and can get a goal as well.
"I want to try and bring in better players to make us a stronger team to help us continue our progression.
"He's a player we've had watched on a number of occasions, so we know what we are getting," Laws told the club's official website.
