Iron keen to keep Banger
Jan Telesnikov and Nicky Banger
Jan Telesnikov and Banger tangle in the Dundee derby
Scunthorpe United are looking to extend Nicky Banger's loan spell from Dundee despite his current groin problem, report BBC Radio Humberside.

The striker picked up the injury over a week ago, but treatment back in Dundee has revealed that it is just a strain.

Iron manager Brian Laws now wants to extend the loan, while sending Banger to Lilleshall to get him fully fit.

Meanwhile, United's versatile defender Andy Woodward is to have corrective knee surgery and will be out for two weeks.
