Walker on the move
Scarborough have further strengthened their squad ahead of the new season by signing goalkeeper Leigh Walker.

The 21-year-old moves to the McCain Stadium on a free transfer following his release from Stalybridge Celtic.

Walker, who started his career at Sheffield United and then joined Barnsley before moving into the Nationwide Conference, will provide competition for places with first-choice Andy Woods.

"I know a little bit about him and he will endeavour to push Andy Woods for his place," said Scarborough boss Russell Slade.

Slade was the youth-team coach at Sheffield United when Walker started out at Bramall Lane.

Slade now switches his attention to a new frontman.

Dover's Keith Scott, former Newcastle, Mansfield and Hartlepool striker Tony Lormor and ex-Birmingham and Preston man Mark Sale, released by Doncaster at the end of last season are all potential targets.
