Rushden agree petition settlement

Rushden & Diamonds have confirmed that the petition for a winding up order against the club is being withdrawn.

The club negotiated a settlement with HM Revenue & Customs and the petition was due to be heard on the 15 July.

In a statement, managing director Helen Thompson said: "We'd like to extend a special thank you to our supporters, suppliers, staff and volunteers.

"They have been magnificent in their support for the club during this difficult time".

She added: "We now look forward to a sunny and successful week down in Devon for the Errea South West Challenge Cup."
