Winger Reid will be given squad number 11 at Rushden
Rushden & Diamonds have signed left winger James Reid on loan from Nottingham Forest.
The 19-year-old, who has initially joined until January, has played one game for Forest's first team.
Reid was named the Forest academy player of the year in 2007/08 and has also represented England at Under-17 and Under-18 levels.
Diamonds have also agreed professional deals with youth-team graduates Joe Day, Jack Higgins and Lewis Hilliard.
Manager Justin Edinburgh told the club's website: "With Joe Day there was no question, as he's been part of the first team already - he's a very good young goalkeeper."
Midfielder Hilliard and defender Higgins will be loaned out to Hemel Hempstead for the beginning of the season, in order for them to gain match experience.
Head of youth Paul Driver added: "All of them have displayed what you need to make the transition from the boy's game to the men's game."
