Rushden to house hotel at ground

Rushden & Diamonds

Rushden and Diamonds have been given planning permission by Northamptonshire County Council for a three star, 150-bed hotel at Nene Park.

It will provide extra revenue and will help with their bid to be a host venue to the Olympic Training Camps.

Strategic Director at Rushden Helen Thompson said: "This is of huge significance to the club to assist in working towards a sustainable future.

"Our thanks go to all those involved in supporting this application."

The hotel will stand at the front of the stadium in what is now Car Park B.
