Rushden snap up trio
Rushden's new management team of Ernie Tippett and Stewart Robson have made their first new signings at Nene Park.

Tranmere striker Alex Hay, Bury frontman Gareth Seddon and Wimbledon defender Rob Gier have all joined the Diamonds after leaving their clubs.

"This is the first three of ten or 11 players we intend to sign," said Rushden's technical director Robson.

"This is a professional set-up and we are bringing in young players to help with the longer term plan."

He added: "We have also made offers to another five players and are awaiting their response.

Youngster Marcus Kelly has also signed a 12-month deal after impressing in the first-team towards the end of the season.
