Benjamin has struggled to become a first-team regular at Leicester
Leicester City striker Trevor Benjamin has joined Division Two side Rushden and Diamonds in a month's loan deal.

The 24-year-old will ply his trade at Nene Park, where he spent time as a youth player, until mid-December.

Benjamin has been unable to claim his place in Micky Adams' Leicester side after the Foxes boosted their squad during the summer.

The striker, who scored nine goals last season, is hoping to make his debut for Rushden at Hartlepool on Saturday.

Benjamin has already had a spell away from the Walkers Stadium this campaign on loan at Gillingham.

The Jamaican international has previously been loaned at Crystal Palace, Norwich and West Brom since joining Leicester three years ago.
