Rotherham United striker Reuben Reid has completed his move to Championship side West Bromwich Albion.

The 21-year-old, who scored 19 goals for Rotherham last season, has signed a two-year deal but the fee paid by West Brom has not been disclosed.

Rotherham chief operations officer Paul Douglas said the Millers were left with no option but to sell Reid.

"Once Reuben handed in his transfer request last month we felt we had little choice but to let him leave."

Baggies manager Roberto Di Matteo said Reid was an exciting signing: "Reuben is a young, exciting, talented player. He has a lot of potential to improve."

Reid was top scorer for the Millers last season, helping them overturn a 17-point deduction as they remained League Two, with 19 goals.
