Rotherham have signed Hull midfielder Michael Keane on a free transfer.
The 22-year-old moved from Preston to the KC Stadium last summer, but the Tigers were willing to let him go.
The former Republic of Ireland Under-21 player impressed while on loan and has signed a two-year deal keeping him at Millmoor until the summer of 2007.
"He's just the sort of player we need as he gets his foot in in the middle of the park and works very hard," said Millers manager Alan Knill.
