Ross County say they will not seek a ground-sharing agreement with Inverness Caledonian Thistle if they are promoted to the Scottish Premier League.
The Dingwall side top the First Division, but their Victoria Park stadium seats only 3,500 supporters, 2,500 short of the SPL minimum.
A club official told BBC Scotland that their own stadium would be upgraded.
"We could do it quickly," he said. "We could build a new stand in 11 weeks. We would be ready if we win promotion."
County have never played in the top flight of Scottish football.
However, under manager Derek Adams, have made an impressive start to their league season.
They lead Raith Rovers by a point and have 13 points from their opening six games.
