Stanton dismissal rescinded by FA

Rochdale

Rochdale defender Nathan Stanton has had his sending-off in Saturday's 4-2 win at Aldershot overturned.

The centre-back is now free to play on Saturday against Morecambe at Spotland.

The 27-year-old was dismissed for a professional foul on Marvin Morgan, but a Football Association disciplinary hearing has overturned the decision.

Stanton's appeal was delayed due to the disruption caused by the bad weather, leaving him free to play in Rochdale's 2-0 win at Chester on Tuesday.
