Hill led Dale to the League Two play-off final last season
Rochdale boss Keith Hill has reminded his players of the importance of a good FA Cup run after landing the prospect of meeting non-league Forest Green.
Dale will travel to the Blue Square Premier strugglers in round two if they overcome Barnet in the Spotland replay.
Hill told BBC Radio Manchester: "A cup run could provide us with a lot of success monetary-wise.
"There's prize money and there's the opportunity to play a bigger club, possibly of Premier League status."
He added: "If we could do that, it would give us much needed funds to possibly see us through the season. Before that, though, we've got to worry about Macclesfield at home which should be a good game.
"We don't take anybody lightly and fully respect the opposition. They're a very good side. Keith Alexander has been a manager in this league for a long, long time and he is very experienced.
"His knowledge of the game is very good and it's worthy opposition that we're competing against.
"But, once again, we're going into the game full of confidence and there is an expectancy there that we're going to come up with the goods."
