Thorpe extends Rochdale contract

Dale have banned arm wrestling after Thorpe's injury

Rochdale striker Lee Thorpe has signed a six-month extension to his contract at Spotland.

The 32-year-old joined Keith Hill's side in January this year from Brentford.

He made eight appearances for Dale last season before injury ruled him out at the end of the campaign.

Thorpe broke his arm in an arm-wrestling accident on the team coach heading for the promotion play-offs at Darlington.
