Jones extends Dale stay
On-loan Crewe forward Steve Jones will be staying at Rochdale for another month.

Crewe manager Dario Gradi had indicated that he might want the player back at Gresty Road.

But Hollins confirmed that the former Leigh RMI goalscorer remains part of his promotion plans.

"We have been in contact with Crewe and a deal to keep Steve for at least another month has now been tied up.

"We are also hoping to keep him for the remainder of the season, but it looks likely any deal will involve Crewe having a 24-hour recall option.

"Steve has done really well since he's been here.

"And I know he has enjoyed himself, which is nice," Hollins told Rochdale¿s official website.

Jones has started five games and made one further substitute's appearance since his arrival from Crewe.

In that time Rochdale have won four times and drawn once to claim fourth place in the table.
