Reading midfield duo Jem Karacan and Michail Antonio have signed new deals to keep them at the club until 2013.

Turkey Under-21 international Karacan, 21, has played every league game this season and has made 48 starts during his three-year spell at the club.

Antonio, 20, has made nine career appearances for the Royals.

Director of football Nick Hammond told the club website: "Both of these contracts are well deserved for the players and important for the club."

Hammond added: "Jem has come through our academy and has a become a regular in the team this season. He's competitive, with a winning attitude, and there's a lot more to come from him.

"Michail has shown really good progression in the last 12 months, he has come back into our squad stepped up a level again. He's a player that, if he continues to work and learn, has a bright future, and he's good to have in the squad."

Both players have spent time out on loan - Karacan at Bournemouth and Millwall, and Antonio at Cheltenham Town and Southampton.
