Home advantage will count - Murty

Reading captain Graeme Murty believes home advantage will prove to be decisive on Sunday when the Royals host Aston Villa.

Reading have lost their last seven Premier League matches, a run which has seen them drop into the bottom three.

Murty told BBC Radio Berkshire that having lost at Villa Park in January, they would put things right this time.

He said: "When you look at the goals, we weren't particularly happy with things that went on in that game."

"They got the points, fair play to them, we know they're a decent team.

"But at the Madejski, we're a good team and we know that with our fans behind us and with a little bit of belief, we can give anyone a hell of a game."

Reading have lost seven consecutive Premier League games.

A defeat on Sunday would be the worst league run in the history of the club.

Reading versus Aston Villa is on Sunday, 24 February at 1230 GMT and is live on BBC Radio Berkshire.
