Reading have agreed to sign Czech Republic international midfielder Marek Matejovsky for a reported £1.42m from Czech side Mlada Boleslav.
Matejovsky has won six caps for the Czech Republic
The 26-year-old playmaker will pen a three-and-a-half year deal on Tuesday.
Reading football director Nick Hammond said they had been tracking Boleslav, for some time.
"He is an established international who is likely to be included in the very strong Czech Republic squad in the Euro 2008 finals," added Hammond.
Matejovsky has won four caps and scored in the 3-0 victory over Germany in October to help the Czechs qualify for Euro 2008.
He made his debut for the Czech national team in a friendly against Belgium in February.
The midfielder is considered to be one of the best players in the Czech league.
Reading boss Steve Coppell described Matejovsky as the "right kind of fit" for the Royals.
"He's bright, bubbly, intelligent and we hope he can be a good acquisition.
"He's flexible, he's a good player. He can play centrally or wide, he's a bubbly character and can slot in a number of places."
