Reading have completed the signing of striker Leroy Lita from Bristol City for a club-record £1m fee.
Lita shot to prominence with some brilliant displays last season
The 20-year-old England Under-21 international has penned a three-year deal at the Madejski Stadium after passing a medical on Thursday.
"This is the biggest signing in our history and I commend chairman John Madejski for providing the funds," said Royals' boss Steve Coppell.
Lita struck 29 times for League One outfit Bristol City last season.
Coppell added: "Leroy has great pace and is an excellent finisher who can create something out of nothing.
"He is an emerging talent who is hungry and determined, and we hope that he can fulfil his potential here.
"His record speaks for itself, and goals were the main thing that let us down last season so we hope he can provide plenty of them."
Chairman John Madejski said: "Leroy is an extremely exciting talent and it has taken a lot of hard work to secure his services because Bristol City were very reluctant to let him go.
"This is a major investment for Reading and the fact that we have spent £1m for the first time is a significant milestone.
"I am sure our supporters are greatly looking forward to seeing him in action. I am delighted to welcome Leroy to Madejski Stadium and wish him the very best of luck."
