Sonko close to Reading move
Ibrahima Sonko
Sonko joined Brentford in 2002
Reading are set to complete the free transfer signing of central defender Ibrahima Sonko from Brentford on a two-year contract.

The Royals have agreed personal terms with the 23-year-old.

The Senegal international started his career in France with St Etienne before spending three years with French Second Division side Grenoble.

He then joined Brentford in the summer of 2002 and made 80 league appearances for the Bees, scoring eight goals.

Sonko rejected the offer a new contract at Griffin Park in favour of a move to Madejski Stadium.
