Sidwell joins Reading
Sidwell (left) has been a success at Brighton
Reading have completed the signing of Arsenal midfielder Steven Sidwell for an
undisclosed fee.
The 20-year-old has signed a three-and-a-half year contract with Alan Pardew's side. The Royals boss hopes he will provide goals from midfield and added: "We are lacking goals from all areas this season, but particularly from midfield. "Steven has come here to score those goals." The Wandsworth-born youngster had a loan spell at Brentford last season. He has been on loan with Brighton during the current campaign, scoring five goals in the process. The initial fee is thought to be in the region of £75,000.
