Rozental to go on loan

Rangers are to send Chilean striker Sebastian Rozental back on loan to South America.

Rozental has been absent from Ibrox all summer as a result of his country's World Cup qualification commitments.

The striker, who returned to Scotland in January after an initial loan spell to allow him to recuperate from an horrific knee injury, is now to be urged to find a club in South America which would allow him to play international football and regular first team football.

Rangers boss Dick Advocaat has been left frustrated by the Chilean's international commitments which have left him bereft of attacking cover.

Chairman David Murray has not ruled out a return to Scottish football for the one-time great young hope, but he said: "Seb needs to play regular football so we have decided it would be better for him to go back to South America on loan for the next six months.

"He and his father are in Buenos Aires talking things over.

"With all his commitments to Chile's World Cup campaign, we feel it would be better all round for him to return to South America.

"A club like Rangers simply cannot tolerate losing a player so many times over the course of a season.

"But it's up to him to go back there and prove he is a class player," he told the Daily Record.
