Smith frustrated with stalemate
Rangers manager Walter Smith
Walter Smith said his side deserved to win at Pittodrie
Rangers manager Walter Smith said his side deserved all three points after watching the 1-1 draw with Aberdeen.

Lee McCulloch was sent off just before half-time for an off-the-ball incident, after which Rangers looked the more menacing side in front of goal.

"We created as many opportunities with 10 men as we did with 11," said Smith.

"I haven't seen the McCulloch incident. It's not often you see a linesman run 60 yards to tell the referee to send a player off."

Smith said the encounter at Pittodrie was a good game, adding: "There wasn't a great deal of incident in it and that was the disappointing factor.

"I haven't seen the Lee McCulloch incident, but the linesman who was standing next to me obviously saw it far better than I did.

"It's a strange one."
