Rangers extend Bulut trial period

Bulut is to leave Greek side Olympiakos in the summer

Rangers have extended Olympiakos defender Erol Bulut's trial for another few days.

That will allow Rangers manager Walter Smith further time to assess the 32-year-old Turk.

Bulut will be a free agent in the summer when his contract with the Greek champions expires.

Rangers assistant coach Ally McCoist told the club website: "The player is here until the weekend and will also take in the Old Firm game."

The German-born left-back has also had spells with Fenerbahce and 1860 Munich.

"We have had some good reports so we are looking forward to working with him over the next couple of days," added McCoist.
