New Rangers signing Kevin Thomson would love to see his old Hibs team-mate Scott Brown join him at Ibrox.
Thomson moved to Rangers in a £2m transfer
Hibernian rejected several offers for both midfielders but relented when Rangers offered £2m for Thomson.
"We're best of buddies and it would have been nice if both of us could have come," he told Rangers World.
"Circumstances mean I'm here and he's still at Easter Road, but as I've said to him on the phone I'd love him to join me in the summer."
Brown and Thomson were pursued by Celtic, Rangers, Charlton and West Bromwich Albion and Hibs manager John Collins has admitted Brown is likely to leave at the end of the season.
"Scott's a very talented boy," added the 22-year-old Thomson.
"I'm sure the day he leaves Easter Road he won't be short of a few admirers.
"The potential the boy has got is unbelievable. He can do anything you can ask him in the game.
"Whether it's here at Rangers or wherever he chooses to go, I'm sure he'll be a top player for somebody."
