Lionel Letizi has signed for former club Nice after being released from his contract by Rangers.
Lionel Letizi lost his place to Allan McGregor at Ibrox
The Glasgow club said that the Frenchman's registration had been cancelled "by mutual agreement".
Letizi joined Rangers in June 2006 from Paris Saint Germain and made eight appearances under Paul Le Guen.
But Le Guen left to return to France with Paris St Germain and the 33-year-old does not figure in new manager Walter Smith's plans at Ibrox.
Letizi had already lost his place to Allan McGregor under Le Guen.
And he has been third choice behind Stefan Klos under Smith.
The Frenchman has now returned to Ligue 1 outfit Nice, the club where he began his career and won the French Second Division before moving to Metz.
Nice allowed goalkeeper Damien Gregorini to move to Nancy on a
three-and-a-half-year contract earlier in the day and snapped up Letizi as his replacement.
Letizi has signed a six-month contract at Nice, where he is expected to be
second choice behind 20-year-old Hugo Lloris.
