Rangers manager Paul Le Guen was pleased with his team's Ibrox victory over Partizan Belgrade to progress into the last 32 of the Uefa Cup.
Alan Hutton headed the only goal in the 55th minute, and Le Guen said: "I thought we played well, and the players who came in made a good contribution.
"Makhtar N'Diaye, Gavin Rae and Filip Sebo all did well tonight and winning the group is great for us.
"We can now hopefully go on to make an impact in the competition."
Rangers have struggled domestically this season, trailing sixteen points behind Celtic in the Scottish Premier League.
However, the win over their Serbian opponents equalled their own Scottish record of 12 consecutive unbeaten games in European competition.
And the Frenchman added: "It is important to keep the momentum going and to keep on winning - that is important for the young players in the team.

We are delighted to be through and and I have no preferences on who we get

"We didn't concede but we lacked concentration near the end although we defended well.
"But we are delighted to be through and and I have no preferences on who we get."
Stand-in captain Gavin Rae, who deputised for the rested Barry Ferguson said: "It was excellent to be captain, these European nights are the reason I came here.
"We wanted the result to finish top, there were a lot of changes and sometimes it can be hard to get going, but I thought the boys did really well."
Meanwhile, Partizan coach Miodrag Jesic believes his side were punished for missing great opportunities at the beginning and near the end of the match.
He said: "Congratulations to both teams, they played well on a tough pitch.
"We could have got something but we couldn't capitalise and unfortunately Rangers did.
"In football, if you don't take your chances then the opposition will punish you and that is what happened."
