Phil Bardsley resumed training with Rangers on Friday after his exclusion from the Uefa Cup trip to Livorno.
Phil Bardsley is on loan from Manchester United
But manager Paul Le Guen has not told the on-loan Manchester United defender whether or not he is back in his plans.
"He will train this afternoon," Le Guen confirmed ahead of Sunday's Premier League trip to St Mirren. "I will give the team list tomorrow."
Bardsley was disciplined for a heavy training ground challenge on team-mate Thomas Buffel.
And the 21-year-old full-back was left behind as Rangers earned a 3-2 win in Italy.
"I am the boss, I did my job, I did what was best for the team," Le Guen said prior to the match.
Bardsley, who came through the United youth ranks, has made 17 appearances for the English Premiership club, mainly as a substitute.
He has had loan spells at Royal Antwerp and Burnley before being farmed out to Rangers in the summer.
He has made five appearances under Le Guen and on Saturday was part of the side humbled at home by Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
Scotland Under-21 international Alan Hutton played in the right-back slot against Livorno.
